Phonetic alphabet

For ease of understanding under hard conditions, the radio operators use the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, in wich for every letter there is a word assigned.

A = Alpha
B = Bravo
C = Charlie
D = Delta
E = Echo
F = Foxtrot
G = Golf
H = Hotel
I = India
J = Juliet
K = Kilo
L = Lima
M = Mike
N = November
O = Oscar
P = Papa
Q = Quebec
R = Romeo
S = Sierra
T = Tango
U = Uniform
V = Victor
W = Whiskey
X = X-ray
Y = Yankee
Z = Zulu

So for example you want to spell my callsign 233RC103, you would say “two-three-three-Romeo-Charlie-one-zero-three”.
